Betta fish: Betta fish also known as Tiwanese fighting fish. Are commonly found in the rice patties of Thiland. They come in almost all colors and are relatively cheap for their beauty. If you get a betta fish you should make it your own and name it a fishy name. I have a blue one and his name is Saphire.
Habitat: If you get a Betta fish you will need at least a large vase. But an aquarium will be more ideal. I have heard that a vase is not that good of life for a Betta fish. If you wnat you can put eather glass gems on the bottom of the Bettas tank or you could put Fish tank rocks on the bottom of the tank. You can also put a water lettuse plant on the top of his/her tank ( It provides enough hiddin places around it roots and reminds them of their ancestrial home in Thiland.
Diet: Betta fish will or will not eat a number of things. If you try feeding your Betta fish Bettamin or any other kind of flaked or pebbled food and it does not eat it try Tubiflex worms or Blood worms (Both are sold in almost evry pet store). And even if that does not work please try feeding him fruit nats and if that does not work I do not know what you should feed him.
